|
|
I have always wondered why Porsche would leave the wiring loom that is behind the fuse/relay board unprotected from a careless left foot and virtually in full view.
Browsing through PET, I spotted a cover that fixes under the fuse relay board, in effect covering and protecting the wiring loom. I ordered this from Porsche (black colour, approx 12 inches x 9 inches made from stiff cardboard).
Unfortunately, I could not fit it as the wiring loom appears to hang too low and there is no free play in the loom so that I can push up slightly and fit the cover.
Does anybody else have this cover, removed it or refitted it and had problems?
Thanks
Arthur

I have that thing removed from my car because I occasionally need quick access to the bundle of wires that's attached to the back of the fusebox (flakey wiper connection sometimes needs jiggling).
I don't know what to tell you - it should fit. I'd think you just have to push the wires up some. _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

| Mine is still in place. You must have big feet to be able to get to the wiring harness. Sure you don`t have some extra aftermarket wiring up in there? ie...alarm? |

Thanks for your replies.
I guess I am afraid to push the loom up. I'll try again.
Feet are only size 42. (I think that is size 9 in the US!!!!)

Yep, I still have mine. It is a little tattered, but functional.
So, are you going to any of the Olympics? _________________ 1980 924 Turbo |
