I am having this really weird problem. This is the third time so far that my exhaust pipe has crack. The first 2 times it cracked right before the cat and this time righ after it. Everytime I take it off and get in welded back together. What is causing this and how can I fix it???

Engine mounts?
If they are worn out and the engine vibrates too much, that can cause this.

| It could also be the exhaust system isn't properly mounted. If does not hang freely when the engine rocks the exhaust system will resist the movement and break. I would agree to check engine mounts as well. |

You should check the engine mounts and the alignment as the others suggest... another fix that I have performed on a few other cars is to put a fexable section in the line. This way when the engine rocks a bit the flexable section takes all the stress out of the exhaust.
Of course I do not have this in my current set up.....

| Because the engine vibrates, exhaust cracks are common in these cars. Check your motor mounts as indicated, then make sure that the exhaust is not hard mounted. I.E. every contact point with the frame is rubber. If you still have the problem, the flex section is the answer. |

haha come on what engine doesn't vibrate!
I would say it's most likely do to the average 944 driver/924 driver driving their car hard, cuz they drive them flat out all the time.
