Just to day I noticed that one side of my sunroof is going up higher then the other. I looked at it but couldnt make it go up all the way. I havent taken it apart yet. When I take the sunroof off and lower the arms that push it up the one that doesnt go up all they way makes a loud snap sound. What is wrong with my sunroof IS there a easy fix?? It doesnt feel like anything is loose or broken. HELP GUYS

Is this a 924S with power roof?
Sounds like you have the typical plastic gear failure.

It is a little time consuming but it is not difficult. I believe you can purchase the gears at Performance products or tweeks. This is a typical failure and I have read it is designed that way.... hu? you say Well the gear is designed to fail when to much force is placed on the system. When you replace the gear make sure you torque all the bolts properly and grease any friction surfaces. That should keep the gear going for some time. Also ... I have not used one so forgive me... If the motor is run up against its stops a lot it might put more strain on the gears. Take you finger off the button as soon as you get the roof closed and try to stop it before the roof is 100% open. Open it 90% and the gear will likely last and last.

Good luck

No problem... tell your friend not to lean on it again! Not a hard repair but you do need to remove some of the inner-upper pannels. Ooo fun. Good luck.
