When Im done driving my 87 924S lets say a hour to 2 hours of driving the engine is hot to the touch. It never over heats but the temp gauge goes right up to the line before the red and then the fans turn on. If I am standing over the engine I can feel the heat IS this normal temp for a 924S or should I do something about cooling.

Just try bleeding the system again. You must make sure the heater valve is fully open. Get all the air out.
