| Okay, I'm interested. I don't think I'll have $125 extra anytime soon though. |

Alex Roy:
I'm curious why you would switch from the Haltech to Electromotive. Just from reading what is available on the respective webs the Haltech would appear to have superior software controls (such as the ability to correct for TDC zero with software vs the Electromotive forces you to do precise hardware alignment and/or do manual computation of offsets).
I will probably be converting myself someday and so am interested in your experience and observations. |

I have the Haltech E6 (the older version of the new E6k), which does not have direct fire ignition. It still uses the distributor. That is the main reason I would consider switching.

| Yeah, the lack of DIS control is kind of bad. When are you having these kits made? I am working on a project DIS controller, and may have it in production inside of a year, IF everything works out perfectly, which it won't. |

| Alex, can you not use the E6 as your fuel mapping computer and a separate ICU to do direct fire? Or is that just not worth it and you'd rather switch anyway? If you do switch, I've heard that talking to Austrailia directly will save you some dough (you may already know that, though). Also, I just saw a never-used E6k go on eBay for $810, including map sensor and wiring harness and some other goodies. I'd keep my eye out if I were you. |

I'm interested to know what ECUs go for at retail. The cost of developement is a bit high, but the manufacturing costs are buttons. I could offer a Motec quality product for an Electromotive price, and still make good money.
What are everybodies thoughts on what a good ECU should offer? I think ABS should be a provision, for safety's sake, ignition and fuel provisions are obvious. I think an ECU should offer custom programmable outputs, for whatever you decide to put on your car. |

How much is thge kit gonna cost and when will it be available..
I want to use it on my 80 924. Can I use Beru silverstone resistorles plugs and nology wires with the dis system ?
I take it electromotive doesn't have the crank wheel I need for the dis setup.
Also which map and coolant sensor should I get to go with the electromotive di for (vacuum advance)
I now have a 78 which i plan to use a complete Nology ignition system and silverstone plugs. Also will be using Nology's wires and ignition module and a resistorless rotor button.
I will also be using a 944 turbo rear exhaust to a custom intermediate steup between the 944 section and the bursch header that came with the car.
Also thinking of using nology's shotgun device which fits into the exaust pipe and variably tunes the ehaust. any ideas for or against this setup will be appreciated.
Also what mods would you make for my red 77 and 1/2 924 ignition system . All bosch components with the exception of plugs and wires and coil.
By the way all my cars sat up for a while the 77 1/2 and 78 got a 5 angle valve job, new valves, springs, retainers and keepers and teflon seals and 931 thin head gasket.
