The NA head gasket was deprecated a long time ago. The 931 version is now universal for both applications. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Looks like a 924 NA top and bottom end to me. _________________ Stefan

Commonly referred to as a VW injector puller.
The five lug will work, but the power steering will not bolt on to your car. I've developed brackets that allow the power steering rack to bolt onto an early 924 cross member, but you still have to figure out how to do everything else (pump, reservoir, cooler, etc.). If you attempt to do this conversion, be aware that you will also need the knuckled steering shaft from the donor car, as the power steering rack sits higher and requires a shorter steering shaft. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Hmm it has complete steering parts... but is it possible to fit an 944 crossmember to 924? Also thinked that where im going to place the pump because my alternator have to be removed to the other side, because turbo sits on its place... _________________ Porsche 924 1978 Cabrió:

No, the 924S/944 alu cross member is not interchangeable to the early 924, at least not with major fabrication involved. Putting power steering on an early 924 is not a trivial exercise. It's not impossible, but it is far from a simple bolt-on swap. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

here you can find the number of the block.
if you spot XK or XJ anywhere its a NA block not a turbo one.
that is a NA head 100% sure
Oh, and those are NA pistons as well. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

So back on track.. much have been done since last post, rebuilded the top nuthing more done to the engine because it was in good shape.. turbo location came pretty tight as u can see from this picture
and from this
that black silicone turn has already been changed..
also installed a FMIC, biggest one that I could fit on it 610x300x76mm
Test fitted also wheels on the front, have to lower it pretty much so i can get enough camber without the wheel poking out cause of the 944 brake change the axle width have grown
Going to run it on K-jet because of a budget, hav already a wideband installed on the downpipe so I can watch for the afr, going to hav it dynoed and adjusted at my school for free with my teacher who is a piston head, its a nice benefit that I got
also have removed the rear axle and adjusted it approx 40mm lower but im going adjust it once again for a 60-70mm drop.. I dont want to ruin the driving abilities but its a must to get the wheels inside the arches.. will see if a hav to get camber plates in the front end hopefully not because I hav a budget It isnt so comfortable to drive with low car in these northern roads that I know after driving 16000km with my crown this summer I've only had 3cm round clearence on it and its static no bags..
lovin dem speedbumps <3
I'll try to keep it updated Cheers! _________________ Porsche 924 1978 Cabrió:
