How about some modest advertising income to cover some of the sweat-equity of you board gods. Mainly for modest policing/expenses and to maintain the status quo.

I agree w/Paul on this. Let's not change this thing just yet. Most of the problem seems to have solved itself now that people aren't posting posts in every category just to see if they can get their name to show up in the "last post" column all at once or because they're just bored. Like most of you, I've only got a certain amount of time I can spend checking the new posts and wading through a bunch of junk posts was getting pretty annoying.

I think we can leave it as it is and see if there's a consistent problem w/people hijacking. The attack on Joe was an unusual occurence, from what I've seen but if you need more moderators, I'm sure there's some of us who would be happy to help out, if that's the issue.

i know what we can do -
everyone must give peter their credit card number. when you swear/attack/etc you lose a dollar. the proceeds could be used to offset costs of running the board.

I hope you lift the sanctions on brazile, I'm sure you patched the hole the let the hacker in. new blood brings new ideas . as far as the bad behavior, my puter crashed a few weeks ago and I dont know how bad the post were, but I would think they were insignificant ,petty,and childish. a few content monitors could edit offensive post so they dont stay up for days irritating people. when I first started coming to this site I posted ALOT. I was eager to help and injoyed adding what I new to the discussion. even gave inaccurate info and got corrected a few times. but over time the number of post I made dropped as I became familiar with the 924 and the site. I suspect some other new members might follow a similar pattern. My mom died a few weeks ago, after fifty years of smoking her left lung collapsed and the lack of oxygen caused her heart to pound which dislodged plaque in her arteries , whiched caused a minor heart attack and a massive stroke, which put her in a comma for 4 days before she past. I dont mean to bum you out , but life is too short to waste your time on this petty ass bovine fecies. have your heart checked, take sublingual vitamins (drops under the tongue) they are readily absorbed into the blood stream where as a large portion of tablet vitamins go to feed bacteria in your gut. go for a walk and call your mother .. end of sermon, good night.

You're quite right,WDB, and I'm really sorry to hear about your mother.
I think that the current nasty events must have been caused by a temporary rip in the time continuum and, if we gave Peter our card numbers, he'd probably mysteriously end up with the nicest 924 in the world and go to Belize to tarpon fish for the rest of his life.
Maybe we should start a car-joke section to lighten our days.(with the usual rules)

wdb, yeah you're probably right about Brazil. I slapped the ban on when we got hit last year while I got around to upgrading the board software and never got around to removing it. Suppose we should give them another chance.
