[Diesel]

A month ago I was e-mailed by a guy at a new magazine called '9' about supplying pics and a description of my 924 for his magazine. I went to his website at http://www.9magazine.net and decided to hold off on sending anything including money for a subscription. I have called all of the book stores in my area, B. Dalton, Barnes & Noble etc., nobody's heard of this 'magazine'. My question to you guys is, do you think this is a scam? If it is, it's a great idea. Who wouldn't want their car in a magazine? And why not mail off the $20 for a year subscription, right? Oh by the way, don't try to get the 'free sample copy' from the website, the page link sends you nowhere. Ideas?

I shot the guy an e-mail last night and received this reply this morning:

"9 magazine is a real magazine. Our first issue hits
Barnes & Noble, Hastings, Bookstar, and Booksamillion
on March 1st. Subscribers will receive their copies
February 1st.

Our first issue was delayed a few times due to events
we had no control over.

Keep checking your local newsstands. As soon as our
national distributor sends us the offical story
listing we will post it.

So, I guess it's the real deal! Another Porsche mag is always welcome in my opinion. Speaking of other Porsche mags, has anyone picked up the premier issue of "GT - Purely Porsche" magazine? I grabbed it a couple of weeks ago and I have to say, it's an incredible mag! Amazing pics and decent journalism, a welcome addition to my ever-growing pile of 'Excellence' and '911 and Porsche World' mags...
