Anyone out there experiment with the Split-fire sparkplugs? What plug number should I use and should I use the stock gap on my 1979 924? Thanks...

I tried them once in my car and was unimpressed. They didnt improve anything and didnt burn as clean. Tooke em out and threw em away. I like NGK 'hot U' plugs.

I've never heard anyone reliable say anything good about SplitFire plugs, you're better off with stock Bosch, you could go platinum or +4 if you want to spend the dough.

Used them and they wore out quickly. No difference in performance.

NGK are the best for the 924.

Bosch are also very good.

Platinum is not for power, but for longevity...

Split fires did not seem to make any difference. Now using NGK.. the 4 tip Bosch is not available for 924. Rapid fires seemed to work well though.

they all suck hairy bum.

Don't bother with them.

Silver plugs are the best, except they may not last as long, and they don't work with aftermarket ignitions, and im not sure if they work with turbos.

I had a post on this a while ago about it, son't feel like going over it again
