hey it rained here yesterday and i noticed that the passenger floor was soaked near the door. ive heard that this is due to clogs in the battery box or something, if anyone can help me dry up this little problem that would be great, johnny.
also, my speedomoter dosnt work so i think i need a sender unit so if anyone has that and or a brake pedal switch for the brake light let me know....thanks tonnes |

| Most likely the leak is the from the battery compartment. Take you battery out and look under it. After a while batteries leak some acid and eventually eat away the metal under there. All you need to do is clean up the area and re seal it. |

| clean it up let it dry buy some nylon mat and resin and fiberglass the whole thing ,, also you might want to cut away some of the metal thats rusted out |

| I just fixed my leaky battery area a few months ago. It wasn't even rusted - the original seam sealer had just hardened and cracked and peeled back in places. I scraped off as much as I could, treated the bare metal with rust stabilizer and resealed with NAPA Seam Sealer. It comes in a caulk gun tube type container. Let it dry some, spray painted over that and let the paint dry, then layed down some waxed paper and put the battery back in before the sealer dried completely. (I'd pumped in a pretty heavy layer of the stuff.) |
