hey joe,
your car is coming out nice.you mentioned getting new carpet, heres a thought you might consider.you can get carpet remnants from a carpet store cheap and do some inlay work.what I mean is using a grease pencil or tailors chaulk you can write or draw 924,joed,porsche,strips,checkerd flag or whatever you like on the carpet backing, cut it out and insert different colored carpet cut to match the hole.the carpet store will have heat activated tape that you can iron and it will hold every thing in place. for inspiration I would suggest looking on the net for pictures of SEA CUCUMBERS aka neutabranks ?spelling, many have interesting color patterns.

Hey, Joe, let us know how the quality of that turns out, please... I'm due myself for a new carpet once I get the battery box hole fixed in the Turbo... I was planning on getting the (front only) set from Tweeks for about $140, domestic carpet, but if they've got a formed set that much cheaper I might be interested in it as an alternative... it's no concourse queen, so I don't care if the car looks not 100% authentic, but I would like it to not scare chicks away

Yea I did my battery box with fiber glass
its really nice cause the darn thing used to get the carpet all wet and make me think I needed scuba gear or something so its all leak proof now.

Want to lose about 35-40 lbs for about $300 buy used front and rear euro bumpers and mounts. Mounts weigh about 8 ozs. ea vs 3 1/2 lbs for the shocks. Bumpers are about 11 lbs vs 22 + for the NA. Rubber add-ons for the NA are about 2 + lbs ea. So you figure it out. The advantage is that you get holes in the front bumper for fog lights or duct them to the front brakes for colling or run them to the airbox.

shave bumpers, they stick out too much anyway, and lose the bumpershocks and pads.

They are very heavy bumpers.
I shipped one out and it was 50 pounds or so.
