| hey guys i just have a quick question, i was driving my 87 924s with no real problem when i braked hard and the front end kinda fluttered side to side (not too bad but i noticed). after that i noticed that the car would occasionally pull to one side (sometimes quite strong)and the steering feels both really loose and tight (it alternates) then it would stop. now my power steering isnt in the best shape, i replaced the belt and it still has a hard time and i just topped the fluid. but this is the first time i noticed this drifting problem. im also quite sure its not the alignment because it all of a sudden just went out and i didnt hit any curbs or anything.....if you have an idea or have expierenced this problem before, let me know. thanks ....johnny |

Check your tracking.
I had a worn track rod end which had similar effects.
In heavy braking the car would pull to one side and sometimes lock a front wheel. Sometimes it would drift to one side in a straight line sometimes it wouldn't.
Got new track rod end and it srtopped the drifting.

Paul T. are you trying to start the "AMC motors in the 924" thread again?
