| Holy smokes. i am getting really freaked out with this car. as i mentioned earlier i went outside to check the fuel pump (by removing the injectors and spraying into a tub) anyway i saw that they were ok so i put them back in and cranked. in true porsche form after sitting for nearly 3 years, she fired right up. now if you have been following my questions, you will realize that it wouldnt start and i had tried everything...then all of a sudden she goes ...and dam well too? haunted or not, you decide. ....cheers...Johnny thanks to everyone who offered advice, now on to the 50 other things wrong with the car (ha ha) |

sounds like she just needed a kiss and some flowers.
You were probably fluid locked somewhere in the system. Don't know how just took some time for the system to correct itself and prime up. Maybe the R&R knocked something loose.

Haunted they are... My girl is giving a disturbing noise in the drive shaft and I will darned if I send it off again for new bearings. I am going to switch out the tube and tranny if it comes to that.

It could be worse. A truck came into the shop I work at crusie control would come on and accelerate on its own. It's come in sevral times for for that problem we sent it out to the engine manafacture to see if they can fix it.
I wish I could get my 924 to start I need all new fuel lines and haven't had time to work on it between work and class and I always thought working class was just a saying:)
Edit:
It came back from the engine manafacture shop they said it wasn't a problem with their stuff. So I was finally allowed to diag it and within 3 hours I had it fixed it was a wire rubing on the dipstick tube shorting to another wire in the harness giving the computer the same signal as the accel button.
