| we need some sort of links page, i've just spent an hour going through old posts trying to find the address to a site that i remember going to, just can't remember the name. it doesn't even have to be a page, everyone could just put any good links on this post and whenever anyone needed them they could just do a search for links. |

anyone like to put up their hand?
The problem with links is finding some way to group them so you don't have the "I know it's here somewhere" when you go looking for a site 6 months later.
I'm sure that if we could work out a format and a way for everyone to get involved Vaughan would put it onto 924.org.
Might even be able to use a new forum on the board specifically for links. That way when you post a link you could include a bit of info about the site and we could use the search facility when looking for a link. That might work |

Yeah, Peter, that was my idea too, what about putting a links section on the main Forum Index, that way we can have subsections under it, makes it more organized, and as you said, putting up a link, along with some description would make it usable with minimum effort. |

Hey Teo,
if you really are interested in looking after a links forum I can create one and make you the administrator.
Being an administrator is really no effort at all with these guys, you have the power to delete a post or topic or lock a topic so no more replies can be made. Never had to do either apart from removing the odd test post after a few days.
Really, I suppose what it means is that you take a special interest in that forum.
Say yes and the job's yours. |

Lets be sure to number the links with a master number so we can email the admin when a link is bad. Versus searching the list of links.
We could also code the links like E1 engine, P2 performance, B3 body, etc. It would be up to the admin to code it. Starting our own little Library of Porsche so to speak.
That way the links are group a little better and easier to search and can be split off into seperate pages as they grow.
Also someone may be able to set this up, we could have a top ten or links list for fun and it could be useful for first timers.
