Coolant expansion tank - what fits?

Hello everyone,

Does anybody know what VW/Audi shares the same coolant expansion tank as the 924? The tank has the VW/Audi logo on it, but I
have been unable to determine what model. My tank has a crack, so I would like to replace it with another, second hand item.

924 NA, 1982.

Hi Fredrik,

I have replaced my 931 coolant tank with one from a 944, they are easier to get as a used part (£15). They are also built better with thicker plastic and internal baffles. They mount up on the inside wing above the ignition module. I don't know if they would work on a n/a 924 though. I can't see why not.
