Can anyone possibly tell me where this highlighted wire goes to in the back of the fuse block? Please see the pics I've added. A while back, I had to replace my turn signal stalk. After replacing it, there must have been exposed wires and when I started the car to test, things went bad, really bad. I lost all lighting, horn, wipers, etc.. Fast forward, I've managed to get everything working except my low beams. Headlight switch checks out. I'm hoping this wire in not connected to the correct terminal end on the block. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been at this since 2019.

If any one needs a headlight switch please let me know, I have three, one part # ending in F and two ending in G. .

Hmmm, that is a VERY strange one strange notations on the diagram.

It's a white lead, and evidently ties ultimately to terminal 56a (not shown in your pic, but in the original shop manual). That's shared with fuses 3 and 4 (power side) - high beams - and also goes from the stalk dimmer/flash switch to the high beam indicator light on the dash (bl/wt wire).

This notation would imply the white lead you're trying to identify is in plug G (on the fuse/relay board), but the pin number is not identified. It's strange, but the process of elimination plus checking continuity might confirm that.

OH!!!

If I look at the '79 diagrams, it's an unused pin G8. When the added the separate flasher/dimmer switch notation in 1981, they lost the "8" at the same time they started using the pin!!

So it's probably G8, plug G on the relay board, and some lazy draughtsman needs to have his pee-pee slapped and his bier ration cut for being lazy. Not to mention whoever reviewed and signed off on the drawing change!!

I was looking at this yesterday..."G" without a pin number didn't make sense.

Good theory about G8.

Here's another clue, check out the wiring diagrams for a 1984 944. The white wire from the "DIMMER/HEAD LIGHT FLASHER SWITCH" leads to G8.
