Put it where it fits, it works even if its in the rear end of the car. I have no permanent installation, so i put it in the tail pipe with an adapter when its measurement time. Apart from idle it works perfectly. Just put it in a good angle according to the instructions, to avoid a short life span. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

Were?
Although I wrote a long time ago this winter, I intend to dismantle there again. _________________ 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo (931) diamond silver metallic/helios blue metallic

Thank you for the answers.
To make a long story short: there are 2 areas where it can be mounted.
1. After Turbo flange
2. before the first drum
1. After turbo flange. Do not strictly follow the assembly instructions. (turbo in front, manifold above, wastegate in the back (a lot of heat around).
2. before the first drum. Follow most assembly instructions. It can be placed on top of Exhaust pipe and on the side (with an angle of 10 degrees).

I managed to convert the ignition to electronic ignition with the original distributor. (I had something similar on 924 2.0 NA).
Also new Ignition coil. (suitable for electronic ignition)
The car starts much better now, runs better.
The spark is better, the current consumption is much lower.
