Hi all,
Just quick update on the project. Lots of small tidy-up items to complete before sending it off to the dyno shop. Even poorly tuned, the throttle response and pull is awesome! I will post an in car drive video once a few more bits get put on.

Nice! So clean! An inspiration
Can I ask what you used for the firewall insulation? Harder to find something like this in silver rather than gold _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Lots of great options here, reasonable prices, I use this stuff a lot on my prototype...

Wow Joe! What a sweet project!
I am almost to the point where I will want to reach out and discuss my own Microsquirt-run supercharged 924. I'm using a slightly different approach than you with a different charger and keeping the CIS, but going with FrankenCIS firmware and eWUR for complete control. I will also be using an EDIS timing setup.
I would love to compare our setups more in depth! _________________ 1980 Porsche 931

Vaughan linked the exact product I used. Heat Screen self-adhesive and get a roll of the matching tape to finish the edges. I bought it from Summit Racing. Running this material and the OE rubber seal at the top of the firewall WITH the belly pan and splitter has reduced the engine bay temperatures a bit. This was before these significant mods for which I have no data to verify if this is still the case.
Hit me up Jacobroufa. What you describe is quite different, but I may have a few "lessons learned" than could save you headaches. The megasquirt is epic once working. SO much flexibility and no more CIS hard starts. Fires up perfectly after a hard run and heat soaking.
I fixed the serpentine belt alignment issue (see engine bay image in earlier post) this AM and should be able to post a video this weekend. Notice the "jumped" belt! The alternator slid back in its adjustable mounting bracket and took the belt with it by one rib. _________________ '79 924 Supercharged / Track Prepared

SO MUCH THIS!!!
Switching over to MS let me love my Turbo again, after spending years not driving it because it was too unreliable, never knew if I could get home with it.
Now it sits while I work on long-overdue cosmetic improvements! LOL - though it's too hot right now to be all that comfortable, TBH.
Car looks lovely Joe... nice work. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Thanks for the kind words guys!
Here is a very short (and not very exciting) video of my testing the serpentine belt issue fix:
https://youtu.be/EHFiANvuXNM
Lots of tuning to do this weekend to address the dip when the throttle opens and to add an over-run safety. Then I would like to do more data logging and wide open throttle pulls. _________________ '79 924 Supercharged / Track Prepared

Looks like I got to the party a bit late man, but wow what a beautiful car!
I just started writing a series that might have been helpful when you were first looking for MegaSquirt Knowledge/an expert in the field. Would love to hear your thoughts, and if it can help anyone else... please feel free to share it.
I've got the overview and three chapters posted up now, should have a forth posted up later this week.

Hi Jerry,
Welcome to the board!
I would love to provide any information about the build to support your efforts on your writing project. I particularly love the fact that there is an acronym glossary, which i believe will reduce barriers for us all.
Currently, I am fixing a serpentine belt vs. alternator alignment issue this weekend but should be off to the dyno shop to see some actual data shortly. TunerStudio shows that there is about 2.34lbs of boost at 6500RPM (MAX) with the stock pulley on the supercharger. A nice safe place to start tuning and experimenting with pulley diameters.
