FYI, You can Fit the more affordable Koni 30 series with a 2.25" rear spring.
Rebel Racing sells a sleeve kit, that will replace the 2.5" sleeve that come on the 30's
(be be warned, Rebel is VERY slow, and VERY hard to get a hold of, you have to KEEP calling and emailing to get a hold of the guy, too bad no one else makes these sleeve, nice guy....shitty service)
heres a pic (because everyone said it wasn't possible, or you had to swap to aluminum arms, when then require the $150 bolts)

Mike,
Which is the sleeve? the red piece or the blue piece? I use the blue piece that I call a threaded collar on the front of my race car. Moving the IT-B car to H-Prod in SCCA allows us to put coil overs on the rear as helpers to the stock torsion bar. And...we have to use the steel trailing arm.
This looks like a great way to stiffen up the car. _________________ 1979 924 NA race car H-Prod SCCA

I have Gaz coil overs on the rear of my car with steel trailing arms. I have the 1.875 springs and they almost interfere with trailing arm. Unless you you can get to using a 6" spring to get it above the trailing arm I don't see how the 2-1/4" would work. The adjusting rings are quite close to the steel arm, a guess of 1/4" clearance max. I have 8" Eibachs to go with a 29mm hollow tbars in there now and preloaded an inch to get me up to about 380 wheel rate.
It is almost impossible to get pictures or measure much of anything in there without the car being on a lift. _________________ Mike

I also have gaz coilovers, the top hat is very long and tinner than what you have and the springs are also 1.8”…but they still touch they are so close to the car body..i think they do make contact with the car body in certain conditions.
The lower connection is a similar story. You wil need some spacers to fit that kony shock as it is meant for the aluminium arms.
And you will have to drill your arms to fit an M14 bolt instead of the M12 that is original on the steel arms. You should also drill somewhat offsetted as you’ll be left with only a bit of metal on the arms to support the springs.
So yeah, these will fit if you insist, but its a bit of a dirty job. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

you mount these upside down, the spring is on the bottom, shouldn't be any rubbing on the frame.
see this thread, and specifically the very last post, as he is using the 2.5" springs until the end of thread.

also these come with 12mm eyes and spacers, so you dont have to drill out. _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |
