No downsides as far as I can tell.
As you see, you'll need to modify the center of the crossmember as well in addition to the mounts.

Dunno, maybe I can make one more It looks good because I sandblasted and powdercoated it afterwards.

This maybe a stupid newbie question, but where's the hole in the cross member for the steering shaft uni joint to attach to the pinion spline of the steering rack?

Has it been modified for the rack to mount on the rear of the cross member?

I was looking at mine today, and there's definitely a hole for the steering shaft to join the rack......maybe it's RHD thing?

With these rubbers, how does the rest of the enigine mounts get attached?
Do you also have some pics about that sitiuation?

I am working on how figure out to transplant a 2.5 turbo in a 924 early model, with this type of crossmember, looks verry interesting !!!!
