My mechanical expertise is limited to things that easily screw or unbolt easily. In this case, those qualifications are falling short....How can I get a spark plug wrench the hard to reach plugs on my 1981 931?

Thanks
Michael

Do you have the factory toolkit which came with the car? Excellent plug remover in there. Otherwise normal plug socket and several joints (wobblies).

I removed the charge tube when I changed the plugs in my 931. At little extra work but less frustration with the plugs that are not easy to reach. Of course stick a rag in the lower pressure pipe to prevent anything from falling into the turbo. Also be sure to set the spark plug gap to spec...then tighten the plugs to torque spec.

The original tool is really great.. It’s not super fancy or anything but works perfectly.. I pull my plugs quite a bit.. Currently BR9ES..

I also always try to blow the spark plug wells out with compressed air before changing the plugs because dirt can get in there and stay..
