I've got a small role to patch in my passenger footwell, right under the corner of the EPS styrofoam insulation. My question is is the EPS insulation really needed? Does the engine bay get that hot? 1" EPS seems like overkill, plus holds moisture. The rest of my interior is already stripped and likely staying that way. |

If looking to just close up the hole and can't easily get some steel riveted in there, get some aluminum tape used for sealing house heating ducts from the hardware store and put a couple of layers on there as a temporary patch. I don't know about the EPS, I think mine had some heavy black rubberized face matting. _________________ Mike
