I've got a small role to patch in my passenger footwell, right under the corner of the EPS styrofoam insulation. My question is is the EPS insulation really needed? Does the engine bay get that hot? 1" EPS seems like overkill, plus holds moisture. The rest of my interior is already stripped and likely staying that way.
