Would off the shelf piston be better and cheaper? How strong are these and can i run with na block and head?

They are NA spec forged pistons made by Omega, well known UK manufacturer of strong pistons, find anything else 'on the shelf' stronger!? Doubt you'll find a brand new set of NA specific pistons any cheaper either. Richard who is selling is a top guy and probably post to Finland.

No idea of other options, I'm not NA specialist.

hmmm do you think a thick headgasket would be enough to drop the cr for turbo or sc

?? I thought you were building an NA engine??

If you are boosting, then another piston with correct CR will be required. Omega make turbo spec pistons, I have a set in my car, but they will require 3 sets to be commissioned.

my car got carbs on the car atm but i want to buy a new engine and turbo it with forged internals over summer while driving. Going turbo since stroker is so expensive compared to the power youre gaining

Cool but non of the dimensions are the same as the 924 original crank. For example the stoke is 84mm in the 924.

The adverised price included uk shopping, so slightly more than that. But its cheaper than anything else made for the 924 that you will find.
Then there will be an additional cost of machining the block.

They are at least £700 per set from Omega..... x 3 sets if you buy direct as they need minimum order to make a run of 12 pistons. So a bargain at the price Richard was selling for.

FYI - Similar for turbo pistons.......which I have in my car. There is a CGT owner looking at buying a turbo set and may need two others to go in with him.
