Working well but desperately needs a dyno session to optimise it. Had fun on a track day and competed in a few hillclimbs. No grenading of the motor yet!

I like that these have a 'lip' on the rim compared to other 928 and Porsche wheels of the period

Not seen in the same photo previously, the lamp pod + lamp cover + 8x16 Wintercults with 215 45 Uniroyal Rainsports. Bring on the cold, wet and dark winter

Quick
All is working out. Survived a Summer of hillclimbing despite no dyno time to ensure its all optimised or current bhp figure. Only sense check on performance is times from hillclimbing, I'm car #29 if you fancy seeing what my car matches or is up against. Bridge is mph speed trap circa 120-140m off start - http://resultsman.co.uk/LiveTiming/EventViewer.php?DB=Resultsman&EventID=1310&GroupID=26115&Trap=1&Sorted=0&Mode=9&Sorted=1
this is what I am aiming my performance on......a stripped out 924 with 2.7 supercharged motor with at least 280bhp and very light - https://youtu.be/pjjT6xxXcM4 Also a 968 CS with 260bhp and driven by Matt who has a screw loose in his head. Since the below comparison image, my best time is now 52.5secs. I need to grow bigger balls at the top of the hill. Just don't want to bend the car!

First hillclimb season completed mostly successfully. Didn't break anything. Didn't bend anything. Despite falling off track a few times! Last event a couple weekends ago.....

Not many cars spin here and don't hit anything. Lucky for me it was only a bollard although I did dent the exhaust on the serated kerb as it put 2 wheels on the grass

Video of the incident. I put it down to recent install of LSD, using new road tyres v's usual R tyres and braking + down shifting whilst turning....

Great photos. I always enjoy seeing pics of your car even in unfortunate circumstances as she looks so good! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

Very cool, the hillclimbing!
Do you now use a recirculation valve or a dumpvalve? _________________ 937 trackday car

GFB Response switchable recirc and/or dump to atmosphere valve. No valve and recirc only did not work. Something was making the revs hang. Not sure if this is compressor inertia or the air/fuel plate being pulled open by the inertia. Either way, dumping boost to atmosphere is the only option to stop the rev hang. You can see it in the engine shots a couple pages previous. _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife
