Considering a 1988 924S SE that has an aftermarket Ziebart Sunroof. How much of a negative would you consider this? The car is in fare condition. _________________ Keith Lewis |

I replaced the roof skin on my 924.
The sunroof it had was horrible. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

I'm new to the 924 game, but with any car really an aftermarket sunroof *can* be a cause for concern. I've seen some really good work out of aftermarket shops, and also some really crummy work so it kinda depends on who did it, how long it's been there, and whether anyone can get replacement parts for the mechanism.
In your case, if you like the car otherwise it might not be a bad idea to call the local Ziebart and ask some questions as to whether they can even get parts for it / etc if it fails. Would be helpful if you had any kind of paperwork from the current owner as to exactly when it was put in and whatnot.
Just my two cents. |
