When the AAV is in its closed position should it be 100% sealed with zero air allowed through or is there always a very slight leak? |

I think it's supposed to close all the way. I just got a rebuilt one and it was about 3/4 closed cold. I think warm engine closes it all the way. _________________ 1981 Weissach Edition #179 |

The AAV will restrict flow. It won't provide a seal. _________________ 78 924 NA

Thanks- that's exactly what I wanted to know- whether or not the seal is a complete air tight seal. |
