I've had my 924 for 9 years now
in total I've driven the car 10 hours over this 9 year period
it will never be a concour winner (4 different DIY paint jobs over it's life+ several PO hacks that can't be reverted back)
Transmission has the infamous 1-2 synchro gear issue
AC was removed so not very summer friendly
Heather was removed so not very winter friendly
Every year I invest at least 1000$ in restoring it and 8-10 hours per month.
I can't invest more time on it now as I'm realizing how much kids grow fast and I've already spend too much time on the car rather than my kids
Cars that where out of my reach 9 years ago for a week-end car are quite affordable now (Mini Clubman S, BMW 335 coupe, Infinity G35)
I'm about to make a move that will revoke my access to this board

You should sell if its sitting on your head so much...and buy a better 924 that you can enjoy driving, maybe with your kids as well. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

Depends on if you enjoy working on the car or if working on it is a necessary evil you have to do to get a fun car. |

thanks guys, it seems like this is more a necessary evil.
winter is coming so the market to sell is not great, I guess I'll continue wrenching on it form time to time over the week-end and look at selling in spring _________________ 1979 924 NA |
