I just inherited an '87 924S. Its a black on black beauty with 43,000 miles. Needs nothing and is museum quality. I would like to keep it that way.

Question is where do you find service manuals. Any suggestions as to addressing idiosyncrasies. I'm an avid Mercedes enthusiast and have already found its different from my SL.

Suggestions and comments are welcome. So far I love driving this car.

Welcome!
Since you have the 924S you will need to get the 944 set of service manuals if you want to go the factory route. You may also get the Haynes manual for your model. You'll find that the '87-'88 924 models are a bit of a mish-mosh of 924 and 944 to put things simply. As you live with the car you'll discover it's own traits.
You'll find a wealth of information in this forum and Clark's Garage, (do a search), is also a very good source.
Enjoy!

I have a set of 944 factory manuals. Useful but I don't use them much anymore. PM of interested.

Otherwise, Clark's garage is your go to for sure. I will still reference his shop manual from time to time.
