Hey guys,
Sorry for the delay of answering. What a shame i didn’t see replies.
@ shurick : transmission is a 944 T cup and seems to be good on the dyno... hope it’ll be the same on track.
@carrera rsr: Tanks for your your proposal but it’s a little bit far to bring it. Also we would like to confirm the setup before a true meeting.
Correct At the moment it’s for sale as we know this type of car could need some long period to be sold so it’s only the beggining... and i think we´ll have enough time to complete this post with several other pictures with it in action as we are not in the hurry to see the baby leave home
@TJC: My friend happy to see you’re still on. 8 years ago we discussed about the mother car and we ‘re quite happy to show you this result which is in a sense thanks to you also. One more time thanks a lot. _________________ Rom |

You have accomplished a great deal Rom and you should be proud! Thank you for your kind words my friend and I was honored to be a tiny part of your adventure. It's hard to believe that this all started 8 years ago...wow, what a journey!!! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

Hi guys,
Great project. Great details. it's really like taking the jaw from the flor.
It looks like You try to cover every little detail like the signal ligts on the wing, or body cut outs or fill ups like the roof without water rails.
and production of specific parts is... something outstanding.
I've got a question.
How did You mount windshield flush ?
I remember that You can take late windshield with thick rubber and just glue it... but there was some wiper issues You had to cut out some material.
I wounder if You did it some other way ? |

So to conclued an 8 years story of construction, the target moment finally arrived.
We were lucky to find a sympatic track owner who accepted to let us do the shakedown of the car alone, without to many furious around us .
I have to say that it's a moment when you're happy to have a camera stabilization on your phone because i was shaking like a young pupil for his first day of school.
The car ran perfectly without any problem. Everything was fine just some small adjustements to do but nothing really wrong during the 2 hours we had to do our tests.
Of course sound limit of 95 dB (and fear) excluded the possibility to test the car to its limits but for a first run after so much modifications we're quite proud to say that it's a Fuc***g nice car. A real Tribute to the mother car in STUTTGART's Museum.
I hope you'll enjoy the same as us, even this is not an impressive video, but we are happy to share this nice moment with you

@PieszczoH Thanks a lot
Correct we only glued the windscreen without any modification and at the moment, nothing goes wrong. I hope it'll continu ... _________________ Rom |

WOW!!!
I applaud and congratulate you Rom!
You certainly have had a wonderful adventure and the result of your efforts is outstanding to say the least...you have every right to feel proud!!!
I would just like to mention to those reading who haven't read this post from the start, do yourself a favor and do so. I doubt there are many, if any, individuals who have taken a basic little production 924 and built it up to something like this!
Rom, let the champagne flow !!! _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

Simply amazing ! thank you so much for sharing.
It is fantastic to see a GTR/GTP move as nowadays you can only see them in pictures or at the museum...and they are still amazing machines to drive. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

Rom.....thank you for taking us on the journey of the construction of this car.......and what a ride it has been!
Such dedication to the 'mother'car!
And so now what? When you sell this jewel what could your next project be? _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

Good question Peter ... At the moment we know that the selling period will take a while because price is not really low (but i can assure it's not over evaluated. If we would have count all our hours, price would be more than twice). So i think we'll have time to finish the last details and setup and as said Cédric, i confirm it's a chance to have the possibility to drive it on track
Totally in another register i've got an Alfa Roméo GT Bertone Gtam (also a replica...) to finish So next year will probably be a transition period i think.
For the rest the dream cars for us are 80's Group C and of course PORSCHE 956 but this is another story _________________ Rom |
