The first week of July I decided to finally take my '88 924S Cross-Country. I had been planning this trip for a while and it was nice to finally see it through.

This was from the first leg of the trip. I stayed two nights in west Tennessee and visited Memphis. You can see the car was still clean here...

After two nights in Tennessee I booked it across Arkansas and into Elk City Oklahoma where I filled up and met up with route 66

That night I stayed on Route 66 in Shamrock Texas

This was taken the next morning as I left Texas and headed to New Mexico.

I left route 66 and took Hwy 60 through central New Mexico

I then visited the Very Large Array

From there I left New Mexico and headed into Arizona for the night

The next morning I visited the Grand Canyon

I stayed in Kingman, AZ that night

The next morning I took route 66 down towards Oatman, AZ

Route 66, Oatman, AZ

Later that day I crossed in to California and stayed on route 66

Route 66 Goffs, CA

Route 66 Amboy, CA

Once again I left route 66 and headed south into Joshua Tree National Park where I camped for the night

The next morning I headed down to Box Canyon...

Once I was through Box Canyon I found myself at the Salton Sea

Bombay Beach, CA

I stayed the night in Brawley and the next morning headed to LA

I spent the next four days in LA enjoying the sights and surfing in Malibu...

Afterwards I headed to Vegas for several days and my car was garaged getting some well deserved rest.

Driving Angeles Crest towards Vegas with a fellow Porsche owner from Riverside.

Looks like an awesome trip!
Quite frankly these are my favorite types of posts. I love seeing people enjoying their cars and using them for what they're meant to do. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun and I hope to do it all again one day! I recorded a ton of footage and plan to make some videos on the trip...

Here's a collage I put together from some of the footage.

Thanks! The drone has a "follow me" feature so it flies itself. I make sure to always keep it in sight through the mirrors then using the screen I can see what its recording. There are a lot of other modes that I was hoping to use but it was so hot out there that I didn't get to use them all. Between the heat and a lot of drone restrictions I only used it twice but would have liked to get a lot more shots, especially of the pier in Santa Monica...
