Interesting.
Have you rotated the engine? There seems to be a lot of clearance between the suspension tower and intake manifold.
What have you done regarding the oil pan? _________________ Euro 924, 1976

I don't want to sound like an asshole but those diesel engines are the easiest thing to drop in.
I have seen countless diesel conversion here in the past 20 years or so because of diesel prices being much lower and diesel cars giving better mileage. _________________ https://www.the924.com |

You correctly note that this engine is not at the same slant as the Porsche engine.
This engine (as far as I can tell) only came to the US in Volvo 2xx and 7xx cars. In the 7xx cars, the engine is slanted at ~25 degrees. For reference, my measurements have the Porsche block at ~40 degrees. I changed the end of the torque tube to match the engine.
The oil pan on this engine is aluminum, and I couldn't find a steel example to modify the way you did. |
