I need to clean the infamous ground points under the dash near the relay box.
I searched the forum but the pictures of these have been removed from the posts.

Is it necessary to remove the relais box to get to these or is it sufficient to remove the front seat to lay down?

Because an anti-theft device has been installed by the previous owner I am reluctant to remove the relay box, as I can see all nonstandard wiring attached to the spade connectors at the back .

Thanks in advance,
Duncan

It is possible but annoying, I used a 10mm socket with a long extension. It is a ring of 8 male spade connectors bolted to the sheet metal using a 10mm bolt. the grounds are female spade connectors, mine were so corroded that I simply cut them all off and soldered new connectors and sanded the connector ring You can best see the ground points by looking from just below the edge of the dash, look to the left and behind the relay box. Once you know where it is unleash your inner contortionist and slid into the foot well until the clutch pedal digs into your head and you will probably still be unable to see the ground points. Going by touch is probably the least frustrating way of going about this.
