Hello. I recently purchased I new in box Weber Redline Big Throat Throttle Body from an eBay seller. I took it out of the box today to compare it to my stock TB and noticed that it doesn't seem to have provision for the electrical connections which are mounted and used in conjunction with the throttle cable lever on the stock TB. I have a 1982 924 NA. Any advice, help or solutions would be greatly appreciated. |

US cars have two microswitches that are used in conjunction with the O2 sensor / Lambda system.
You can either abandon those connections and disconnect the O2 sensor, which will essentially allow the car to run in open loop mode (not as good for the environment, not as good for fuel economy, but should have minimal impact to performance); or you can figure out how to install an S2 931 throttle position sensor on the Weber TB and figure out how to connect the microswitch leads to the TPS. This is not as big of a deal as it sounds, as the same steps are necessary when converting an S1 931 to an S2 throttle body and intake manifold. I don't recall the pinout offhand, but there should be some instructive posts here on the board if you're clever enough to find them with Google site search. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
