I'm in the late stages of the LSR car build and have sucessfully sourced all the cooling hoses except the upper radiator hose (the one with the bleeder valve) and the short molded S shaped thermostat to water pump hose. I could reuse the old ones, but I'd really not like to have to do so. Anyone have a line on either? Pelican, Paragon, Jegs, Summit, Rock Auto, ect are a non starter.

The S hose is NLA. I would strongly recommend finding something close that you can adapt, as that hose frequently develops pinhole leaks (in my experience), and I wouldn't want to risk a fresh build on an old hose. Unfortunately, I haven't yet had time to chase down a reliable / repeatable aftermarket option.
I wasn't aware that the bleeder hose was NLA, but I believe I may have an extra NOS unit somewhere in my parts bin. I'll do some digging on part numbers and see if I can get a new one. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Hey Dan,
Any news on finding replacements for some of these coolant hoses? Is everything sort of "find what you can" now? _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

Found one at Autohaus for $30 I think just last week. When I get it I'll tell you if it is the right part. _________________ 1977 924 N/A Martini Edition |

That's because Porscheshop buy from Porsche. However they take your money first at a higher price than buying from Porsche direct. Then try to buy from Porsche, they find out it's no longer a available some days or weeks later then refund your money and in the meantime waste valuable spanner time _________________ 1980 931 - forged pistons, Piper cam, K27/26 3257 6.10 hybrid turbo, 951 FMIC, custom intake, Mittelmotor dizzy & cam pulley, H&S exhaust, GAZ Gold, Fuch'ed, Quaife

While not cheap Venair makes a substantial coolant hose kit for the NA cars. they delete the metal pipe that runs across but I assume you could just cut the hose to the right length after the curve and clamp it on.
