Hey guys,
I'd hoped to have the rebuilt booster and master cylinder back in the 924, well, about 2 weeks ago. Brought them to a shop and they said it would take a week and a half. It's been almost 6 weeks now.
There is a broken part on the rod in my booster and they don't have any cores around to take it from, so... long story short, I need a booster for an '81 N/A with drum rear/disc front.
Anyone have a core lying around that they could sell me or a lead on a similar year 924 N/A in a salvage yard near Chicago?
I can't find it through any of the local auto parts stores, though a few have told me that they can send mine to Cardone to have it remanufactured, but since my core has a broken part, I'm guessing that I'll run into the same issue.
This is the year that I was looking forward to doing things like new shocks/strut inserts, tires, etc. and actually driving and enjoying the car, but instead, she's an inoperable pile of beauty in the garage right now. It's kind of breaking my heart.
Part number on the ATE booster: 411 611 907H
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a pic of the booster in question:

| Have you asked the dealer? It's worth a call. |

Thanks for the tip, Noah. I called a dealer yesterday and they looked it up and the booster is no longer available. We cross-referenced a few part numbers but he had minimal information aside from the film of the parts breakdown, which I could see on my end, as well. The numbers that the auto parts chain stores are using are unrelated to any Porsche factory numbers (a 5-digit code). _________________ 1981 924 N/A 5-speed |
