Hey,

Soo when I first bought my 88 924s the AC worked great, ran out of all vents (from what I remember) and ran cold. Soon after this I was driving, I threw the AC belt, found out my AC compressor mount had broken off, so I jimmy rigged a new mount on my compressor to fix it so my belt would stay on. A little while later my AC stopped blowing cold, I can only assume it is the compressor, so I will be replacing that soon, but another thing that I cant really figure out is that now when I turn on the AC in the car it only blows out of the passenger side foot area, instead of all the air vents. And I cant direct the AC air where I want it. But I am still able to direct the vent or heated air where ever I want it... so I'm wondering what might cause me to be able to direct the air with one system but not the other? any Ideas?! And sorry for the long story I didn't know if the AC history would help or not!

Before you replace the compressor maybe check the less expensive path. I just did a search and it seems like you might have an a/c relay [maybe more than one] . Has that been checked?

Thanks for the link I am definitely thought about checking the relay and I am in process of seeing if it is good or not. I'm also not sure what the other forum was talking about? I'm not sure what is original problem was!
