Well, my '87 924s has been running funny, not a lot of pick up, sputtering on the highway and just all around poor performance. I started with just adding fuel system cleaner, then went with plugs, wires, coil, cap and rotor. A little better, but still not what it should be. Next was to drop the fuel filter, and when I saw that was the original, I knew I was on the right track. When I dumped out the old fuel, it was black. Next in line was a new fuel pump and then the tank strainer as well. It was starting to run better, but still stumbled at speed sometimes. I got an extra set of used fuel injectors and a guy that cleans, and checks injectors lives right down the street. He cleaned, then flow tested all 4, then put on mew caps and O rings. Now my little 924s is working like a dream, running like it should.
If anyone is interested, he charged $20 an injector, and quick turn around. Check out www.clevelandinjectorhospital.com if your interested. |
