Folks:
It started about a month ago. Car became a little hard to start after sitting idle for a half hour or more. But after a couple minutes of driving, the symptom goes away. Sounds like a "leak" is allowing the fuel pressure to drop.
I changed the accumulator about 6-7 years ago, and had a leaky injector replaced last year.
Could it be that the accumulator is shot? Any ideas? _________________ I've owned too many cars. 1980 Porsche 924 with European bumpers |

Remove the screw in the bottom of the accumulator. If there is fuel present at the screw, then your accumulator is dead or dying.
Leaking injectors can be checked by verifying fuel flow using glass mason jars. Pull the injectors, place them in the jars, crank and measure the amount of fuel in the jars. They should all be the same.
You can also test for leaking injectors by emptying the jars and leaving the injectors for a few hours to see if fuel accumulates. _________________ Stefan
