"That’s it, will give it a try over the week-end, but it also slow things down. "
Its very important to use Australian QUALITY beer... got to be cold and full strength...
Good idea BUT good canadian beer will handle that job no problem!!!! We do know how to make it over here!!! _________________ Doco "where am i going and why am i in this handbasket"author unknown

Pull the engine out, what a PITA compare to the N/A engine.
I believe it time for a new clutch.
And everybody knows that electric tape is the best thing against vacuum leak, right!

This will include:
APR head stud
3 layer MLS head gasket
NOS turbo S1 series
Rebuilt wastegate ready to receive the RUF 935 type boost controller
Stage 8 Exhaust locking nuts
Light weight adjustable cam gear
Bosch knock sensor for a used Turbo XS knocklite
Boost line for VDO boost gauge
Resurface flywheel
Rebuilt clutch
Resurface 915 Alu pressure plate
Hi-Torque starter
New plugs
New wires
New cap and rotor
K&N cone air filter
New oil filter
New belts
Replacing the air/fuel unit to turbo boot
Replacing Alternator
Removing the A/C and cutting bracket
And prepping for the 951 intercooler piping

Shit, if I would've seen this earlier I have a turbo rubber boot that is in perfect shape to replace the one you have with a leak. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

Bad news, the crack is also visible from the inside
Can this be fixed or should I replace it?

You can fix that, take small grinder, and groove the crack, then heat it in your oven to 500 degrees, and then weld it with a high nickel content arc welder rod. Then, put it in a box with sand on the bottom, then cover it with more sand, then forget about it for a few days as it cools. Many write-ups on this process on the board if you need more information. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Be careful there, the Porsche cast iron is a higher quality than most American manifolds that they might be used to. Don't let them MIG weld it for example. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

Finally got some work done on the car this morning.
I removed 55lbs worth of crap, rotten under carpet from the front of the car and sticky rubber layer from the truck.
Also remove the non-working and unwanted A/C, 45lbs.
This stuff is free + shipping (unknown condition)
Then I loaded the front bumper with signal, driving light and modified 944 euro bumper rubber.
