Has anybody done a full rewire on a car?
Mine looks tired and a little frayed, about ready for a little fire if it felt like.
Does anybody make wiring looms for 924's?
If not, would anybody be interested in finding a supplier who could make a few up?
Cheers!

There's no one who made new wiring looms for our cars.
The only problem could be to supply proper sockets for it - or it is possible to use new ones. I thinked about making new one but finding proper colors wires are really hard... sockets are much more easier. And last thing.. that will cost much _________________ 931 82' - 5000km after full engine rebuild

Hi McGyver
Yes, everything you say is true, but there must be a good few cars out there that would benefit from new wiring. I'm just thinking if we could get 10, 20 or more in a bulk order the price wouldn't be too bad.
I had a 30 yo MGB catch fire due to old wiring, I don't want that to happen to my 937!
I'm going to keep hunting, will feedback on this post.

You could just do a re-wrap if you are worried about the appearance, and inspect for shorts and breaks as you go. _________________ Toofah King Bad

I have a complete car harness pulled from a 1980 931 that is in pretty good shape with very few if any mods / splices / etc. I also have a factory fresh, never installed harness, also for an S1 931, but that one will be expensive. Also, because these are both for S1, you would need to do some mods to get the DITC stuff wired in correctly for your 937...would probably involve some splicing of your existing harness. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I believe I have a full DITC car harness with fuse box, etc.
Wow Dan, an entire new harness from Porsche - that is pretty cool. _________________ "Never get out of the boat. Absolutely goddamn right. Unless you are goin' all the way."
