Ok guys, take a deep breath and sit down, this is a thread you probably will follow from now on . I got the permission from the owner to throw some pics up on his absolutely fantastic reproduction of a 924 GTS rally spec. The aim is to go rallying in the forest (http://www.midnattssolsrallyt.com/gb/index.php for example) at different historic events. And it is a complete reproduction, including new castings if needed for the homologation. Still cheaper than buy them from the rest stocks of GTS/GTR parts. Engine is full race spec with correct dry sump system etc, including v8 kjet. Gearbox is custom GTS gears etc, everything is top notch down to every little detail. As an engineer and 924/racing enthusiast this is as good as it gets Enjoy !
So, it all started with an ex CGT project car...
A "normal" GTS engine bay used to take measurments for the design of some parts..
There is more to come....stay tuned ! _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

The castings are made by a very skilled company here in sweden, they are used to make prototype castings. Although not these GTS parts every day Here is some pics from the wheel hub and intake process.

Glad to see its not only me who likes to follow this project
I hope I will have time to put up a a bunch of pics when I get home from work. The "midnight sun" rally is in July, I hope the car will be finished in time. (17-20 July).
I dont know how it is in the US, but over here in Europe historic rallying (and racing of course, but that I know is a big thing in US to) is really competitive (and have very strict rules with homologated parts etc). And hence the prices on cars and parts that are popular in rally. For example an old Ford escort RS.. _________________ 1980 924 Turbo

Oh man, that intake manifold. I'd be willing to chop my front end for an FMIC if I could get my hands on that manifold. _________________ Melanie - 1980 931
