Hi - any Aussies with a starter motor they could get to me quickly in Canberra? Mine seems to have died in all the Rudd/Gillard excitement. _________________ _______________________________________

Thanks for that - so just confirming - you bought a Bosch SR62X for your Porsche 924 NA and had no problems with it fitting (length etc?) If so I'll go ahead and order one today. _________________ _______________________________________

Yes, as you can see from my photos I can confirm that the SR62X did fit my 1979 924NA.
what made me concerned (and I am still a little confused by this) was that it looked like everyone in the US had to get the SR10X. Unless they were referring to the 931 (starter motor has to turn opposite) _________________ Tom

Yes - that's what is concerning me a bit too... but I'll bite the bullet and give it a go. _________________ _______________________________________
