Snakoil's thread got me doing some on the road research about mirrors. I guess I never noticed before
how few cars have door mounted mirrors. Here is a partial list from my research.
I don't know how well they would work, research not complete, just some ideas, they're only mirrors.

Mazda MX5 Miata

RX 7

Mishi 3000

Pontiac Solstice

Dodge Stealth

Mini

That's OK, any comments or suggestions are welcome. Seems any thread I create gets little reaction, so whatever. What am I, some kinda troll?

I drive a service vehicle around all day, I never even thought about mirrors until your thread came up.Now I can't stop looking at mirrors!

I just noticed the Stealth and Mishi are the same pic, same car maybe? I'm thinking the Miata's look the best, I want to research older cars though.

Here's one, me likey these mirrors, I had a car like this once...she floated along the road. (Not a good pic of the mirrors, but the car is stuning.)

Hey germ, but for how much? Looking for a less expensive alternative, I guess.

That's one of the better looking ones I've seen, haven't really been looking though.

Something just not right about that car...

If you're going to go the the trouble of molding in new mirrors, I would look for some self-dimming mirrors. I don't know about you, but trucks behind me blind the shit outta me.

Love the 968. I'd go for those, but if not, then the Stealth/Mishi mirrors.

Cool, thanks Nobbi. You say you got some mirrors from them?

How 'bout a pic if so. I like the sport ones, look like the Camaro ones or the
LTD's. both are real similar, I don't care too much if they are electric or not.

http://www.zcarcreations.com/howto/mitsumirror.htm 3000gt mirror install (on an old z, but you get the idea)
http://www.jcwhitney.com/black-flag-style-mirror/p2008323.jcwx?filterid=c3201d14371j1 looks kinda stock, but not as huge.
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Dual-Chrome-Plated-Sport-Mirrors-K-Source_6210724-P_N3162_A%7CGRP2045____ I'm putting a pair of these on my car. but they're black, and not chromed plastic. You can just scuff these up and paint them. and they're much cheaper than that if you shop around for them.

I got the bullet-style mirror in chrome for the left-side only.
Right side mirror costs about 3 Km per hour in top-speed........
