I had to replace all the bulbs and clean the sockets as best I could but I have 2- 1 small and the other the larger that are working sometimes/not. What is the best way to clean the sockets well and are the large bulbs all single filament? I figured atleast one would be double filament..y/n?
Due to the corrosion from water, I guess, what has anyone done here to combat the corrosion?....treatments/protectants?
Thanks in advance! _________________ Dal Glassinger |

Check to see how the rope gasket looks between the taillight housing and body. Also, I think some dielectric grease would help the sockets out

Thanks Ryan, I'll give the grease a go, I never considered the stuff but sure can't hurt. _________________ Dal Glassinger |

Dielectric grease is a good idea. I like to clean the sockets/contacts with a Dremel and a wire wheel or a sanding drum (if there is a lot of corrosion). According to the 924S PET (Porsche Electronische Teile) catalog all the bulbs in the tail light assembly are single filament. _________________ '87 924S |
