Ok, this is for a 78 4sp, w/ac

Where the heck is fuse #S18? I mean, where is it physically located?? The interior lights aren't working and the diagram says the whole kaboodle past the dimmer switch runs off fuse S18 and there's only 15 fuses in the block and I can't find a post-dimmer fuse in the rat's nest of wiring under there. Grrr.

A little help with where this fuse might actually reside would be great.

A '78's S18 should be fuse #3 on the 9-fuse auxiliary fuse panel (if the car has that panel).
Wondering if the '78 wire diagrams might have a misprint - S18 shows on pg1, track 20 at the cooling fan relay, and also pg2, track 8 with the dash lights. Later years have the cooling fan relay on fuse 3 of the 9-fuse panel (corresponding to a "fuse 18"), and the gauge lights are on fuse 12.
Talking dash (gauge) lights, right? ("Interior light" is fuse S6 up to '80, and fuse 7 for later..)

No aux. panel on a '78.

Some fuses are on relays, but I doubt this applies to this circuit.

My 78 W/ac shows Fuse S18 as the fuse for the primary rad fan on page 267 Haynes manual.

My S18 is located on the fan relay body........ hope this helps

Ok, found the fuse S18. It is inside a black twist-n-loc taped to the wire bundle that comes out of the back of the headlight switch. I found it by tracing the instrument light wire out of the back of the dimmer.

Replaced the fuse (once I figured out how to open the friggin trick twist-n-loc).

Lights!

yay!

Thanks all. BTW, there is no aux fuse block on this 78. At least not one that I could find.
