Thanks G!! I remember the problems RC had with them thats why I asked who you had been dealing with.
Yeah if you need some more and I want some, perhaps (well almost certainly at that price) a group buy or the like would be a good way to go? _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

You know Gav & Pete, I recon its a good chance the lifters I got and am now running are Newmans anyway. I bought them from a UK Porsche supplier (don`t know if dealer) for GBP15 ea. Thats after no reply to 2 or 3 emails to Newmans. Refer to this thread:
http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?p=194928&highlight=lifters+newman+cams#194928
When they arrived they were not in any P packaging or with P part # stickers, like genuine dealer or Pelican supplied. They were wrapped in the same oil paper as the ones Gavin got. They also look identical. Haven`t seen new genuine ones so can`t compare.
Anyway, I am happy with them so far.
Wouldn`t mind getting another set if we end up doing a group buy or even sharing shipping to Oz. |

For 80GBP a set, I may be in for a set as well. Keep me posted if this comes to fruition...maybe we can even negotiate for a lower price on a group buy... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

OK, they've has confirmed they have about 250 units in stock currently.
Who is interested? Let me know and I'll approach Newmans to see what we can do.

Interested in 1 set, possibly 2 depending on price break. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

OK, buy breaks will work like this with Newmans - they've been pretty good so far about it.
5 sets - 15% discount
10 sets - 20% discount
20 sets - 25% discount
So the RRP is GBP80. I'm waiting for feedback on shipping options, at the moment I think they'd be shipped individually to your address of choice - trying to sort it out for shipping to a number of individuals who can then handle local dissemination.
Will get back once it's all squared away.

I'm in for maybe one set, maybe two depending on shipping charges. But I know shipping can be really expensive. And I'm assuming no VAT to non-UK/EU buyers??
Perhaps we should look into shipments grouped by continent, then ship to a continent and distribute from a central location therein - Like ship them all to Dan, then have him repackage and send to folks in the US (How do ya like the way I volunteered ya there, Dan ?)
And just to clarify, if I read the earlier quote correctly -- that's 250 *units* in stock, 8 units per set = 31 sets, w/2 items left over, not 250 *sets*. So let's keep an eye on the "serious buyer" count lest we overallocate a scarce resource... |

are these stock like units but lighter? do they use shims or the stock conical screw?
from the pictures it looks like they are imitations of stock units..but from what i've "heard around" they should be the "shim style" tappets... _________________ https://www.the924.com |

They are stock replacements and use the standard screw adjusters, not shims.
