Those adverts are excellent. I especially like the polyester pants suits, the "1977 commemorative version" leMans with the stripe, the BLUE 924. 8.1sec 0-55 (55! Ha!), it goes on and on.
And I think I recall seeing the 924S advert with the moving house changeover to the desert first run on the telly.
OMG, I'm OLD |

I love this commercial package. Thanks for posting it!
Its think Porsche's two main messages shine thru in every script: the 924 is fuel efficient AND the 924 is affordable. Those messages would be VERY relevant today too but as a brand, Porsche has moved on. I bet that P doesn't see itself as needing to offer either fuel efficiency or affordability at this point. Too bad. What do others think? Is there an entry-level fuel efficient and practical car in P's future? _________________ RichieRich

Porsche is testing a 4 cylinder Boxster for the 2011 model year (I think 2011). _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

I just wanted to say that from a guy who's spent SEVERAL
hours learning this darn thing...
And several more hours fixing, sanding, grinding, polishing, spraying and everything else... Restoring a 1977 that this was a bit of inspiration for my perspiration...
It gives me something to look forward to.
I drove an 87 924 for 3 months and I know the 77 is a different bird, so i'm looking forward to it.... _________________ 1977 Porsche 924
