Just curious; not much in the registry. I've owned a bunch of 924s over the years, but the one I just picked up with this VIN (77 RoW car) is the earliest I've had.

That indeed appears to be a pretty early model. I have 3 sets of STD main bearings that will work for it if you have any interest...60mm variety.

I know a cool ass website with its own VIN DECODER.

Also, from PET (using your VIN as an example):

924 = type
7 = year
2 = "Code for Body and Engine"
02357 = Serial Number

So far, nothing earlier...although I know they are out there, and probably quite a few. I have personally seen 76 924s that were brought into the US. Whether they are still on the road vs rusting away in someone's back yard is another story...

Saw your post, brother - no disrespect to your car; I'm curious about cars currently in the States, i.e., that I might one day also have a chance of linking up with. If you're ever in this neck of the woods, would be happy to check out yours, as it sounds like one of the earliest survivors in North America.
