|
|
We had this discussion a VERY long time ago here, with no results...I wonder if anyone found something. The question was whether any manufacturer made lightweight fenders in fiberglass or carbon fiber that replicate the stock 924 fronts.
If anyone runs across anything, please PM me or post it here. For the racer types who can legally use them, and those of us seeking to reduce mass, these would be a great product. The low numbers of 924s on the street have made it a non-entity, as far as I know.
Cheers, Al |

| Checked - no luck. I would be very interested in finding this guy and seeing the quality of the work. Anyone actually have a set of these? |

Interesting link - too bad they're in England!
Just won an early Euro 924 on eBay. Looking forward to feeling the better acceleration from the high compression engine, haven't driven a Euro in a while...the car will be my little present to myself after 15 months in Iraq with the Army.
Trouble is the car comes with 944 front fenders, which will have to go. So, I will need to track down some front fenders. I would much rather have them in FG or CF, since my whole plan with this car is to make it a uber-lightweight.
Hopefully I can find someone in the US who can help me with the unobtainium fender quest... |

If you were to remove the sound deadener off the stock fenders I bet they would onlt be 3-4 lbs heavier then FG. _________________ 1976 924

Pro-9 (also England sorry) stock the full fibreglass body bits that are used in the British 924 racing series.

With the pound being almost dead now you should be able to get it at almost $1 to £1. _________________ Pete |

Wonder how much to ship it to the US. They don't offer anything outsite GBR.
They have some pieces I will be needing in the fall.
Thanks for posting the link. _________________ Mark
